Anni Albers | Experiments

This prerecorded lecture went live on Thursday, May 28, at 5:30 p.m.

Join Fritz Horstman, exhibition curator and Education Director of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, and Karis Medina, Associate Curator of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, for a collaborative lecture examining the theory and practice of Anni Albers. Following Albers's idea that a weaving is a whole built out of parts, they will interweave quotes of her own with lines from some of the authors whom she referenced most frequently, to describe and evoke the incredible body of textiles, works on paper and writing that she produced during the 44 years that she lived in her adopted state of Connecticut.
