ABOUT THE EVENT

2020 Art Party of the Year (POSTPONED-DATE TBA)

UPDATE:

After much consideration, and in an effort to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of Museum staff and visitors, we have made the difficult decision to postpone both the Artist Party on April 22, 2020 and the Art Party of the Year on April 25, 2020. We are looking forward to rescheduling this event following the conclusion of the COVID-19 virus concerns.

The NBMAA is grateful for the generosity of its supporters and recognizing that the Art Party of the Year is our largest fundraiser, the proceeds of which go towards supporting the museum’s exhibition and education programs. Current ticket holders (for both the seated and strolling dinner options) are invited to carry forward their purchases to the rescheduled event date. We are hopeful to hold the event this summer and look forwarding to sharing more in the coming weeks as we review updates from the CDC and other health organizations.

We realize these are uncertain times and ask for your continued support of the New Britain Museum of American Art. If you are unable to attend, please consider donating the value of your ticket or contributing what you may have supported the gala with had you attended. Your donation will then be 100% tax deductible. Alternatively, refund requests can be made by contacting Amanda Shuman-Bisson at

[email protected]; refunds will be processed as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support and commitment to the New Britain Museum of American Art and for your patience during this time. We wish you good health.

Join us to celebrate our 20th annual fundraiser and auction, The Art Party of the Year. As the Museum’s premier fundraiser, this event attracts over 300 Museum patrons and guests from across Connecticut and beyond. This year Suzanne Levy will serve as the Gala Chair, working hard to plan the event.

Try out a new dining format this year: choose either a Strolling or Seated dining experience. Strolling guests will enjoy dinner as they move throughout the first floor of the Museum, socializing with friends and bidding on art. Seated guests will dine among the artwork in an intimate setting. Cocktail hour, dessert, and dancing provide opportunities for all guests to mingle!

Consider sponsoring or purchasing a table or tickets; all proceeds benefit the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programming. Tables and tickets sell out quickly. Contact Gala Coordinator Marina Luri Clark at [email protected] to purchase.
