An Evening with Ariel Plotek, Curator of Fine Art, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum

The NBMAA is thrilled to welcome Ariel Plotek for an in-depth exploration of the origins of Georgia O'Keeffe's modernist style. With a special emphasis on O’Keeffe’s development of abstraction, Plotek will discuss at length the influence of her early exposure to European avant-garde art in shaping the artist’s engagement with abstract principles.

Plotek is currently the Curator of Fine Art at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Prior to this, he served as Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the San Diego Museum of Art.
