ABOUT THE EVENT

Messy Art Week, Ages 6–8

 —

Campers are invited to discover the freeing and joyful experience of making a mess! Participants will get their hands dirty working with clay, large-scale paintings, as well as wearable works. They will explore their own creative processes and take home several works of art.

Join us for Art Adventures!

NBMAA welcomes children to make the most of their summer with five, week-long learning experiences filled with creative hands, engaged minds, and smiling faces. Campers will explore the Museum’s galleries and outdoor sculpture garden for inspiration to create personal works of art to take home. Art making activities take place in the Museum’s beautiful and light-filled American Savings Foundations Art & Education Center, with views of Walnut Hill Park.

Each week campers will work with a variety of media, including clay, watercolor, and paint, while learning printmaking, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Families who enroll multiple children or who enroll for multiple weeks will enjoy a 10% discount. Scholarships are available for New Britain residents. Contact Hannah Kruger at [email protected] for more information.
