Community Day: Mexican Independance Day, with Pablo Helguera

Celebrate the closing of NEW/NOW: Pablo Helguera at the NBMAA with the artist himself! At 1 p.m., Helguera will give a gallery talk centered on the art of storytelling. Then, at 2 p.m., the artist will deliver a special musical performance accompanied by visual artist, musician, humanist, and educator Carlos Hernandez Chavez! In our American Savings Foundation Art & Education Center studios, guests can stop in and write their own tales, real or imagined, to add to our story wall, or bring home.
