ABOUT THE EVENT

Community Day | Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2020

To honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day the Museum will be open for a special free Community Day!

Adults, children, and families are all invited to visit the NBMAA and take part in a variety of insightful educational offerings, as we recognize this national day of service. Join our knowledgeable docents for an African-American Artists tour at 1 p.m.

At 2 p.m., the galleries will fill with the joyful songs of the Main Street Children's Choir. Throughout the day, visitors can create masterpieces to bring home at the Art Carts located throughout the Museum's galleries. Before you go feel free to grab a book and read with your child, or on your own; there will be books and stools available throughout the museum
