ABOUT THE EVENT
Family Day | President's Day 2020
This President's Day, the NBMAA is partnering with Arts for Learning CT to present a special Family Day all about American history!
Children and families are invited to learn about President's Day through special performances throughout the day, including Carol Glynn’s The Constitution and Monica Peterson’s Storytelling Presidents & Patriots.
Glynn's engaging presentation on what the constitution is, why it was created, and what that means today is energetic, respectful, fun and geared towards 4–6 year olds. Peterson will regale audiences with true tales about President George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and American patriot Sybil Ludington for Pre-K–6 year olds.
All day, guests can explore drop-in art activities in the Museum's new Create Space, as well as the Lowe Illustration gallery. Make paper plate masks and woven silhouettes of your favorite presidents. Then, enjoy a fun, presidential scavenger hunt.
