Film | The Life and Gardens of Beatrix Farrand (2018)
Join us and film director, Karyl Evans, for a screening of her documentary, The Life and Gardens of Beatrix Farrand. The most successful female landscape architect in early 20th-century America, Farrand was also one of the founders of the American Society of Landscape Architects. This film chronicles Farrand's challenges and successes through her remarkable 50-year career in a primarily male-dominated field.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception, the Director's introduction, and film screening at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Q&A with Evans.
Karyl Evans is a six-time Emmy Award-winner for her work in documentary filmmaking and has been directing video projects for over 30 years on both the East and West Coast, with The Life and Gardens of Beatrix being her most recent success.
