Homeschool Day | i2i Challenge

For this special Homeschool Day (ages 5–12), students will create work for the i2i Challenge, an art show that focuses on STEM and the arts held at the NBMAA in collaboration with the Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy. This year, the theme is “space!”

Homeschool students will start with a tour through our permanent collection, looking closely at artworks that utilize math and engineering. Then, in the American Savings Foundation Art and Education Center, with the guidance of Coordinator of Youth Studio and Family Programs, Hannah Kruger, students will draw up plans for their artwork and begin working on their projects.

Students will also be provided with information on how to submit their finished projects to the i2i Challenge Art Show. All students who submit artwork will be invited to attend the opening reception of the art show in March 2020.
