Tuesday, April 19: The Benton Murals
The next upcoming Thomas Mach/NBMAA collaboration will be focused on one of the NBMAA’s most beloved works: Thomas Hart Benton’s The Arts of Life in America. The 1932 murals have belonged to the Museum since 1953 and depict aspects of everyday life in the 1930s. Mach will discuss his thoughtful approach to this process and insight into the future color selection for the mural in the Chase Family Gallery.
Includes a presentation/talk followed by Q&A. Light refreshments provided.
