Join us for the Members Only Preview of Kara Walker: Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated), the first exhibition to launch the Museum's 2020/20+ Women @ NBMAA initiative! Enjoy a cheese board and light snacks, wine, and soft drinks, and hear opening remarks.

This exhibition contains iconic works by contemporary artist Kara Walker (b. 1969), who weaves together imagery of the antebellum South, slavery, and racist stereotypes to explore representations of African Americans throughout history.
