ABOUT THE EVENT
[email protected] | Plein Air Painting
Step outdoors with this month’s [email protected]! Led by teaching artist Moiray Giannola, students will learn to work en plein air, as well as the basics of applying watercolor.
First, in the galleries, students will study works from the Hudson River School and become familiar with the art elements found in landscape paintings. Then, at Walnut Hill Park, Moiray will guide students through introductory paintings as well as the challenges associated with painting outdoors.
Preregistration required. In the event of inclement weather, students will paint inside looking out the giant pictures windows looking at the park in our Stanley Works Center for Education and Community Development. Parents are recommended to supply their kids with sunscreen, hats, and water bottles since this course will take place outside.
