ABOUT THE EVENT

[email protected] | Inspiration to Innovation Challenge

 —

Explore outer space with this month’s [email protected] after-school program! Guided by our Museum Educators, students will examine pieces of artwork in the Museum’s permanent collection that use math and engineering, as well as examples found in fiction and non-fiction books. Then, they will take what they learned to create innovate artworks of their own. At the end of the class, students will submit their creations to the i2i Challenge. Suitable for ages 8–13.

The i2i Challenge is an Art Show hosted by the NBMAA in collaboration with the Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy. This year’s theme is Space; students are encouraged to submit projects that combine art and STEM.
