Sunday Music Series | Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra: Women Composers Showcase (CANCELED)

In celebration of 2020/20+ Women @ NBMAA we welcome the Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra (HICO) with a full program of women composers, including selections from Andrea Clearfield, Valerie Coleman, and Jennifer Higdon.

Comprised of a roster of premier Hartford-based musicians, HICO forges a unique path among orchestras in Connecticut, championing the music of the living, often Connecticut-based composers, for chamber orchestra and chamber ensembles. Having commissioned and performed numerous exceptional pieces by local composers, HICO engages audiences throughout Greater Hartford and beyond with programming designed to broaden musical perspectives.

Sunday Music Series is a longstanding program at the NBMAA that features exceptional performances from a variety of local and regional ensembles.
