ABOUT THE EVENT
Sunday Music Series | Foundry Saxophone Quartet
For this month's chapter of the NBMAA's Sunday Music Series, we are thrilled to welcome the Foundry Saxophone Quartet. Comprised of saxophonists Max Schwimmer, Mallory Kokus, Kara Cook, and Andrew Studenski, this accomplished group will perform a variety of music centered on original classical works, as well as a mix of jazz, folk, and ragtime.
Enjoy Sawyer Harrington-Verb's composition The Bird Cage, inspired by the painting of the same name by Frederick Carl Frieseke, which guests can stop by and view in the Charles and Christine Shivery Gallery. Also featured will be the compositions of Charles Ives, Connecticut's official state composer.
Sunday Music Series is a longstanding program at the NBMAA that features exceptional performances from a variety of local and regional ensembles.
