ABOUT THE EVENT

Color Theory Exploration

 —

Teens will use the city and desertscapes featured in The Beyond: Georgia O’Keeffe and Contemporary Art to learn about color theory and abstract painting. Using these works as a reference point, they will discuss how abstract techniques and mixing of the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors of the color wheel can create specific visual effects.

Under the direction of Studio Educator Lindsey Behrens, students will apply what they learned to their own works.

Preregistration is required, and students must be registered prior to the first class.

Scholarships available for New Britain residents, contact Hannah Kruger, [email protected].
