Walnut Hill Jazz: Sarah Hanahan Quartet
The New Britain Museum of American Art and Hartford Jazz Society are thrilled to present the Walnut Hill Jazz Series, featuring four Wednesday night performances by regional jazz masters in an inspiring setting.
This month the Museum welcomes Sarah Hanahan, a jazz saxophonist and current Hartford resident and student of the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz within the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford.
Hanahan has studied under exemplary jazz musicians such as Nat Reeves, Steve Davis, and Javon Jackson. She currently fronts a quartet/quintet and also plays in a jazz duo with McLean classmate, guitarist Jeremy Galloway.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m.; doors and a cash bar open at 5:45 p.m. Seating is limited; preregistration is recommended.
