Homeschool Day | Landscape Painting

This December, join us for a Homeschool Day (ages 5–12) focused on landscape painting! First, in the galleries, students will examine paintings from the Hudson River School as well as scenes from our Regionalism and Realism collections, to learn about specific works and their artists, as well as the elements of a landscape, such as foreground, middle ground, and background.

Then, in our American Savings Foundation Arts and Education Center, students will work with our Coordinator of Youth Studio and Family Programs, Stephanie Strucaly, to create their very own landscape paintings.
