ABOUT THE EVENT
Lecture | Art and Influences with Henry Finkelstein
This January, the NBMAA is thrilled to welcome artist and National Academician Henry Finkelstein for an informative lecture discussing his work and influences.
Finkelstein is best known for his landscape work, which is done en plein air. His primary concern is not with the depiction of nature and scenery as is, but rather what he can draw from it in his work; his interest lies primarily in color, light, and rhythm, and how these elements interact with each other. He has taught at the National Academy of Design since 1996.
Preceding this lecture, guests are also welcome to join us for a special Adult Studio Workshop taught by Finkelstein himself.
