My name is Letty Rodriguez, I am a 15-year-old student at New Britain High School. Painting has been an escape for me, and it helps calm my mind and allows me to express myself. I discovered my love for creating art when I was 6 years old. I started painting at 7 years old because I fell in love with the colors and concepts of a local artist “Fiyabomb” art exhibition that was being held at Gallery 66. Fiyabomb has been painting for over 12 years and has sold paintings all over the world including to celebrities. Most recently she presented an award to Curtis 50 cent Jackson in New York. My mom was able to reach out to her and I started private lessons with Fiyabomb. I have been taking private lessons with her while also attending her summer art camps for the past 8 years to perfect my paintings. Not only do I practice at home but I also learn new things in art class at New Britain High School. I have sold paintings all over the US and have had my art business since I was 8 years old. I love creating whether it’s paintings, drawings, or even expressing myself through fashion.
