NBMAA Community Partnerships
The NBMAA is proud to serve as an integral part of the New Britain community, working with local cultural organizations and schools to connect people of all ages and backgrounds through the arts.
CT Schools and Universities
School visits are designed to enrich curricula and engage students in dialogue and discovery as they view artworks in the galleries and create hands-on art projects in the American Savings Foundation Art & Education Center. Programs for students pre-K through college accommodate students of all abilities. Galleries and studios are universally accessible. The Museum also offers educators and administrators opportunities for professional development and classroom enrichment.
Related Programing
Each month, the NBMAA is pleased to support our community with a diverse array of lectures, programs and workshops, with accessible offerings ranging from discounts for students to free admission for all. Check back for updates each month for new offerings.
Creative Caring Kits
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, to help students stay creative at home, the NBMAA distributed Creative Caring Kits to local families. Each Creative Caring Kit is an individual, hands-on art-making kit for students containing instructions and supplies to create sculptures inspired by Dale Chihuly's Blue and Beyond; Family Passes to enter the Museum when we re-opened; a coloring book page featuring an NBMAA masterwork; NBMAA pencil and postcard; stickers; and a Children's Guide to the Collection in Spanish and English.
