Rozeal Bio

Rozeal (born in 1966) is a contemporary painter based in Washington D.C. She is known for utilizing traditional ukiyo-e printmaking techniques, and her paintings explore the themes of race and identity within Japanese and African American culture. In 2002, Rozeal earned an MFA from Yale University. Her work has been shown in exhibitions around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the Studio Museum of Harlem, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.
